Faye Allen Kata Registration Now Open

Online registration is now open for the 2013 Faye Allen Kata Tournament and Ju No Kata Clinic in Washington DC.

Early bird registration is $30 per participant and includes competition and clinic.

Faye Allen Kata Tournament and Ju No Kata Clinic

This year’s event will have Nage, Katame, and Ju No Kata divisions with five judges to challenge competitors to National level performance. Experience related divisions (Novice, Intermediate and Advanced) will support competitors and kata students at all levels.

We will also compete Kime No Kata and Goshin Jutsu in Advanced divisions only.

Sensei Edwin Takemori will give a clinic on Ju No Kata following the competition. Getting ready for promotions? You can demonstrate your kata requirements there too.

The event will take place at the historic Thurgood Marshall Center, formerly the 12th St YMCA – the first YMCA to serve African-American members. After the event, you can dine in the U St corridor of restaurants or take in some live music!

And we have parking too! Please join us for a great day of competition and learning!

See you on the mat,
