The first and arguably the best-known American judo icon, Jim Bregman has devoted his life to the sport as a competitor, teacher, and administrator.
Bregman was a member of the USA’s first Olympic judo team and Bronze medal winner, a World Championship medalist, and Pan American and Maccabiah champion. Few American judoka have ever matched his success in international competition and organizational innovation and leadership.
Join us on Sunday, September 11th at 4 PM Eastern Time for a discussion with Sensei Bregman in the latest installment of the USJF’s ongoing webinar series.
His perspective not only on his own development and success as a national and international champion, but on the overarching themes of the Gentle Way and how they affected his entire life’s work in judo and in his government career is certain to be an important addition to our own understanding of judo and our ability to promote these messages to others.
