Schedule:

8:30 am                           Kata competitors check in and warm up.

9:00 am                           Kata competition begins on assigned mat.

9:00 am                           Junior competitors check in.

9:30 am                           Junior competition begins.

12:00 pm                         Senior and Veterans competitors check in.

12:30 pm                         Senior and Veterans competition begins.

 

Please be on time. Note all coaches must send in a verified weight of the shiai competitor via photograph at least 2-3 days before the day of the tournament. Send as an attachment by email to mwljudo@msn.com and sbojudo@msn.com or text 571-216-8992. Include the competitor’s full name, club representing, division, age and gender.

 

Shiai registration Fee: $70.00                          

Kata Team registration Fee: $100.00

Tournament Information:

All judoka must be current members of either USJF, USJA or USA Judo.  Judoka must have proof of membership when registering. Go to http://www.usjf.com to register with the USJF.

Contest Areas:  The mat sizes will be 7 meter competition areas or 6 meter competition areas with a 4 meter safety area.

Contest:

Modified Double Elimination (Round Robin for small pools).  If there is a tie in placing within a given division, the winner will then be selected by the total number of wins.  If there is still a tie within the division, the winners of 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place will be then be decided by the number of points earned (10 points for each win by Ippon, 5 points for each win by Wazari).

Awards:

There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place medals presented.

Program provides reimbursement ($150 to $300) for athletes competing in National and
International level events. Juniors, Seniors, Masters/Veterans, and Kata competitors
can all apply to the Shufu Athlete Funding Program. If you have been a member of Shufu for at least 2 years and have participated in any of the events listed below, then you should consider applying for Shufu’s Athlete Funding Program!
