  The CISM GAMES (Council International du Sports Militaire) will be contested in October (“TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!”) and that if there are interested and competent Armed Forces Judo competitors who are interested in representing the U. S. Armed Forces, they need to IMMEDIATELY go to their Morale , Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) representative on their Base, Ship or Station and to become “pro-active self advocates” if they are interested in competing and ready to fight.  As far as I know, the designated Coach is Major Amber Jones, U. The first tournament in the U.S. to offer International competition in all seven Kodokan katas was started by Sensei Keiko Fukuda, 10th dan. Compete in: Nage-no-kata Katame-no-kata Ju-no-kata Goshin-jutsu Kime-no-kata Itsutsu-no-kata Koshiki-no-kata IJF scoring system will be used at this tournament. Open to men’s, women’s, and co-ed teams in both Junior and Senior categories. Coach Certification

SafeSport Certification is now required for all USJF registered clubs. If you have already completed the course and submitted a copy of your certificate, you do not need to resubmit. For more information or to take the course, please visit https://athletesafety.org/

Heads Up concussion training, through the CDC’s website, is a requirement for all members of your USJF registered club who function as teachers at any time. Please advise all of your instructors and assistant instructors of this requirement. The training can be accessed at: http://www.cdc.gov/headsup/
