Per USA Judo sanction no chokes or arm bars will be allowed in Senior Novice divisions and this allows another option for competitors (See Page 2 Rules Section Bullet 2 for information)

For those planning to attend the Self Defense Certification clinic at Pure Performance Rockville, please confirm via email with Eric Spears that you will be attending at: dericspears@gmail,com.
On June 9th or before please bring hard copies of the completed Application and waiver, CDC, Safesport, CPR/First aid and current background check verification, as well as any documentation of self defense courses you have taken or given.
Please also bring a check made out to Shufu for $50 for the clinic plus the appropriate certification cost for the teacher level you are going for.

No judo gi is required at this event.

2018IJF Rules will govern, except (1) no armlocks will be allowed in the 13-14divisions (2) matside coaching will be allowed in all divisions and (3) players will be allowed to change gisto conform to the rules , without being penalized.Modified Double Elimination for all pools except 3 & 4 playerpools will fight Round Robin.No chokes for 12 and under. No armbars for ANYnovice categories. Current IJF medical rules(no examination except for blood or grave injury) will apply to all divisions.All female contestants are required to wear a plain white tee shirt or leotard to compete!All contestants, including juniors must bring at least one white gi. A player called towhite side must wear a white gi, or forfeit-no exceptions. Blue judo gis are to be worn on blue side ONLY, but are not required. Players may bring their own blue belt to be worn instead.Tournament Director(s) reservethe right to make changes as needed.

This Camp/Clinic is for all levels and ages of judoka – all clinicians will spend time with kids and adults alike.

2019 Summer Nationals in Staten Island NY , is dedicated to bringing the premiere summer judo tournament where players from all over the United States compete to be the best in their category. United States Judo Association and United States Judo Federations are working together to make this the best national judo tournament coming to New York City! Players from USJA, USJF and US Judo with US citizenship, green card or approved Visas are eligible to participate. Categories are offered for Juniors, Seniors and Veterans. Novice (white to orange belt) divisions are available for every Junior weight class. While Novice (white to green belt) divisions are available for every Senior and Veteran weight class. Participate as a competitor, referee, volunteer or spectator for this spectacular event!
Compete in a 3-day International-level Judo tournament in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Divisions include PeeWee, Bantam, Intermediate, Juvenile, Cadet, Seniors, and Veterans.
